How Many Colors On Disc
Refers to the colors of ink chosen to be printed on the surface of the disc itself. We can print up to six colors.

Digipak
A different approach to CD/DVD packaging. Eliminates the need for the standard Booklet & Traycard. It is a single piece printed with heavier card stock and a plastic tray glued inside. There are many different designs that allow for full color artwork and many multiple disc solutions.

Approximately twice as thick as a Standard Jewel Case. Takes two Traycards and can take a Booklet as an insert. This package type can hold up to four discs.

Printed Materials
Booklet & Traycard
This is the standard printed Insert and Traycard for a CD packaged in a Standard Jewelcase. There are many different configurations to choose from for your booklet include: 1pg, 2pgs, 4pgs, 8pgs, 20pgs, etc. The Insert can also be folded, stapled or a can be a folded mini-poster and can be printed up to full color (CMYK) with additional PMS Spot colors.

For example a booklet printed 4/1 will be printed full color (CMYK) on the outside and one color (usually black) on the inside.

Topspine Sticker
A sticker printed (usually) with the artist name, title, and UPC number which is placed on the top of the CD Jewel case. Most retail stores prefer that CDs have a topspine sticker as it facilitates ease when customers browse for CDs in their stores.

Barcode
We can provide you with a barcode number for your product along with the necessary paperwork to register your selection with Soundscan®. Most retail stores will not take product without a valid barcode. We charge $65 for a unique barcode number. Please contact us for more details.

Lacquer
A hard inflexible aluminum, lacquer coated material also called acetate or a dub-plate. Your music is transferred to the lacquer via a cutting head and then sent through the electroplating process to create Masters, Mothers and Stampers.

Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black Process inks - The colors used to make up just about any full color picture. The most frequent combination is yellow, magenta, cyan, and black, which are printed, one over another in that order, to obtain a colored print with the desired hues, whites, blacks, and grays.

PMS & Spot Colors
Developed by Pantone Inc., PMS colors are a set of spot colors commonly used in printing. By choosing a specific PMS color you can insure that the correct color will be printed on your project. This option is best used if you want your project to contain an exact color.
